Don’t Stop Me Now

I am finally the proud owner (again) of a motorhome! I have no idea how most of it works, but that’s a problem for another time. A guy named Truman explained to me the entirety of the buttons, hoses, kitchen appliances, slides, etc., but I have a hard time keeping my attention on, well, pretty much anything, so I really don’t remember what he told me.

The downfall of my ADD induced non-attentiveness is that, while I couldn't pay attention to what I really needed to, I naively assumed I could find a manual online for everything that flitted from my brain like a butterfly. Wrong. There is no manual. Oops. I just hope that the slides cannot be engaged while driving. Full coverage insurance? Damn straight!
I drove the vehicle 2 ½ hours home from the dealership and I didn’t hit anything or kill anyone so I believe I am good to go. I merely need to make sure the refrigerator stays on while we are traveling because white wine needs to stay chilled.

So far, the motorhome hasn’t caught fire (if you don’t know what I’m referring to, read some of my past blog posts), but I made sure there was a fire extinguisher on board, just in case. I may need to invest in another two or three, just to be on the safe side.

Now, my biggest decision in life is where we will go on our inaugural trip. My mom wants to go visit my brother in South Dakota, but from a 150-mile drive to a 2,000-mile trip might be a bit ambitious, especially with two rambunctious dogs in tow. Then again, go big or go home, right? I guess with the motorhome, I can go big AND go home. Stay tuned for our first adventure!
