Today is a stellar day. The sky is a stunning display of brilliant blue, the kind of blue you can't explain, only feel. The temperature is sprinting upward, but the humidity is magically manageable. Who would ever believe a coastal town in North Carolina would be so practically perfect in the middle of June?

Do you ever have a day when you feel like you are wonderfully connected to the earth, sky, and sun? You can feel the energy from them being infused into your body? Changing your mindset to absolute joy?

That's how I feel today.

This day is so beaut...wait, what are these bumps on my upper arm? Oh, shit. Poison ivy.

Disconnect from earth and sky. Locate calamine and cortisone. It's three days later and most of the left side of my upper body, including my face, is now home to extraordinarily itchy red bumps. Apparently, I touch myself a lot. Don't judge me.

My takeaway from this is that yard work is evil and I should refrain from participating. Some things should be left to professionals.

Also, I need to figure out how to hold on to that joy, that bliss so I can feel exceptional every day, even if only for a short while. It's just what this doctor ordered. That and any anti-itch medication I can get my hands on.

I hope everyone can find their joy today. It's a magnificent experience.

*Disclaimer- Cannabis-infused chocolates may have been involved in my perfect day. Don't be jealous.

This song started playing while I was in my pool marveling at the beauty of my day; it was so perfectly in sync with my mood that it was a stunning display of sublime fantabulousness. I love it when things like this happen.
